Living room
Where previously woven willow branches and clay filled the timber frame, there is now an impressive glass structure (triple glazing). You can gaze up beautifully all the way to the top of the roof. In the living room, there is a comfortable corner sofa and a TV. A large clay stove provides coziness and warmth. Additionally, there is electric floor and wall heating powered by electricity from our 32 solar panels.
De Stoerderie is the birthplace of the renowned painter Sjef Hutschemakers. TIP: Take a stroll inside the church of Banholt. The exceptionally colorful interior is his work.
The framework of the timber frame construction has been well-preserved and looks stunning in its entirety in the open space.
On the large corner sofa, it's nice to relax and unwind after a long hike or bike ride.
The efficient clay stove provides a delightful warmth.
We use pruning wood that remains after our volunteer work for Stichting Limburgs Landschap to fuel the stove.
Of course, an etching by the artist Sjef Hutschemakers should not be missing.
